Ana
Cecilia, as she likes to be called, was born in Caracas, Venezuela.
She has studied languages in New York, Toronto and Houston. Ana Cecilia
received her Masters. Degrees in Science and Sexual Counseling from
Centro de Investigaciones Psiquiatricas, Psicologicas and Sexologicas
de Venezuela (CIPPSV). Currently, she is an active member of numerous
international organizations, involved in scientific sexual studies;
such as: World Association for Sexology (WAS) Society for the Scientific
Study of Sexuality (USA), Sociedad Venezolana de Orientadores en Sexologia
and Sociedad Venezolana de Medicina del Deporte (Edo. Carabobo).
Some of her noteworthy appoinments include: Keynote Speaker at the
annual meeting of the 1996 International Society for the Scientific
Study of Sexuality Conference in Houston, Texas 13 World Congress
of Sexology Valencia, Spain, Institutional Relations Coordinator for
the Medical Sexology Society of Venezuela; Member of the Organizational
Comitee of IX World Congress of Sexology (Caracas, 1989); Counselor
in the Department of Family Planning and SexCounselior at Hospital
Vargas de Caracas and at CIPPSV.
Her interest in sexology began at an early age and has always been
inspired by her day-to-day experiences. She feels that the search
for knowledge should aim to integrate and balance academic pursuits
with real life applications. In keeping with that philosophy, Ana
Cecilia has for the past several years, devoted much of her attention
to counseling individuals and couples in her private practice in Caracas.
